Rosie Eldora Beach Morgan

Rosie Eldora Beach Morgan was born March 11, 1917 in Warner, Oklahoma. A retired Tinker Field Civil Service Employee, she passed away March 3, 2004 at the Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon with her family at her side. The ninth child and fifth daughter of Anna Rosalie and John Hiram Beach she was known as 'Toots' to her family and friends. As one of 11 children she quickly developed a sense of family and carried that family bond thru her entire life. Eldora spent most of her early schooling in Warner. From there she completed her college schooling at Conners in Warner as well as Northeastern State College in Tahlequah. With her college degree, she followed in the footsteps of her sister Lucy and began teaching in Braggs and Lone Star in Leflore County, Oklahoma. In 1937 she married Clifford Craig, a marriage that produced two sons: Rex and Carl. At the beginning of W.W.II, she started a career with the Civil Service Commission at Tinker Air Force Base where she eventually retired and married Roy Morgan, who preceded her in death in 1980. Eldora is survived by both her sons, Rex Craig of Los Angeles, CA and Carl Craig of Durango, CO, four stepsons Mike Morgan, Don Morgan and Steve Morgan all of Shawnee and David Morgan of Lookout Mountain, CO, three grandchildren, Carrie Craig Cline of Yukon, Chelle Temple of Denver, CO and Clark Craig of Calgary, Canada. She is also survived by six great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, six sisters and three brothers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Frontier Hospice, 3908 Peniel, Bethany, OK 73008. Services will be Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the Yanda & Son Chapel with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
