"Dear Mrs. Onstot,
I had a talk with your brother in law this morning, Mr. Robert, and he told me you were a sister to Mr. U.J. McCorkle's wife. Mr. McCorkle died Tuesday night and was buried here in St. Joseph yesterday. Not knowing the address of any of the family, we were unable to notify them. Now if you will kindly send me the address of any of his children who may be living, I will greatly appreciate the favor. I used to be with Mr and Mrs U.J. McCorkle.
